Good story, I have read several by this author and have not been disappointed. Very romantic, second chance love. Awesome.
I really liked the story line and the characters of this book, but frankly, the editing was so bad the story just doesn't make up for all the grammatical errors. I found myself editing this book as I was reading which completely distracted me from the story. Seriously, she needs to get a new editor. I will not purchase another book of hers because it's just not worth the trouble slogging through all of the punctuation and grammar issues.
Surely, Marie Kelly went to school and learned basic grammar and punctuation! What could have been a nice story was ruined by the writer making the reader figure out where her commas and periods belonged. Didn't her computer come with grammar check?
The start was slow and over simplistic with so many run on sentences that made no sense at all. The editor should be fired. Kelly, you should get someone to proofread and critique your stories. Fortunately, things did improve significantly with an improved storyline in a fabric of drama and suspense. Improve the initial problems and the star rating will be modified accordingly.
This is the best Marie Kelly book I have read so far! I liked the twist on the forced marriage theme and the hero & heroine. The heroine took drastic measures to escape a domineering father and marriage to someone whom she thought to be like him to follow her dreams and grow up a bit! The hero started out as usual rich jerk, butrevealed he really did love the heroine even after she ran out on him. Highly recommended!
This author did a good job in creating a story that was worth reading. However, it's hard to concentrate or to understand what is going on when you have multiple errors, particularly punctuation errors, all over the place. Words that were said are mixed up with actions, due to misplaced quotation marks or to a lack of quotation marks. You would need to read carefully to determine if he said and did this, or if she said that. It was annoying, but the story nearly made up for it.
The author did a great job on this story. No starting in the middle and thinking back. She started the story and took us all the way through this beautiful romance. The story had humor and romance. I will be reading this one again! Thank you to the author for writing this one so well!!!!!
